Pedestrian seriously injured in Kilkenny collision as gardaí appeal for witnesses

The road remains closed for a forensic examination by Garda investigators, with local diversions in place.

A woman in her 30s has been seriously injured following a collision between a car and a pedestrian on the N76 at Westcourt Demesne, Callan, Co. Kilkenny.

The incident occurred shortly before 9pm on Friday, March 28. 

Emergency services attended the scene, and the pedestrian was taken to St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny for treatment. 

No other injuries were reported.

The road remains closed for a forensic examination by Garda investigators, with local diversions in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, particularly road users with dash-cam footage from the area between 8.45pm and 9.15pm, to assist with their investigation.
